Bio
Caitlin Reid has been practicing yoga since 2004 and is a lifelong dancer. She began practicing in the Anusara and Iyengar styles and eventually found her way to Kripalu yoga and became certified as a Kripalu teacher in 2010. Caitlin found yoga when a foot injury temporarily kept her from dancing. Yoga allowed her to remain strong and find peaceful acceptance of her body. Caitlin has studied under the guidance of Eileen Muir at Karuna Yoga in Northampton, MA and Priti Robyn Ross, Sudha Carolyn Lundeen, and Devarshi Steven Hartman at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA.
Now living in Rancho Bernardo in the North County of San Diego, Caitlin hopes to serve the yoga community by helping her students become physically strong and reduce the stresses of daily life by quieting the mind and developing disciplined focus. Yoga has been transformational for Caitlin, and by sharing her experience she hopes to create space for her students to cultivate vitality and lightheartedness.
Outside of her yoga practice, Caitlin is an accomplished dancer and musician, holding a BFA in Dance/Theater from Emerson College in Boston, MA. As a dancer, Caitlin brings a comprehensive understanding of the body and a passion for its potential. Her musical background brings rhythm into her yoga practice and teaching. Her classes flow seamlessly and are infused with bright, joyous movement.
“With Caitlin’s articulate instruction and tranquil presence I was able to connect my mind, body and soul to my surrounding environment. As a beginner of yoga, Caitlin challenged my body with a beautiful balance of recognition of strength and realization of opportunity” – KG, student
